The annual Good Friday Walk of Witness, organised by Churches Together in Balham and Upper Tooting, went ahead on Good Friday. The volunteer stewards did a great job of keeping the crowd safe as it walked briskly - and silently - down Balham and Tooting High Streets and Mitcham Road.

There was a large crowd and in general the traffic, both walkers and drivers, respected what we were doing.

The large cross was carried at the front of the procession and at each stop, the story of Jesus' betrayal and crucifixion were read and reflected on.

One of the main organisers, Malcolm Dunmow, was thanked for his many years service as he retires this year.
